Great Wolf!

Zach and I took Boady to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine. He has a blast, Zach and I did too. The hotel was so neat and I don't think I have ever seen Boady so excited! He couldn't walk the whole time we were there his Boady insisted on running, jogging, skipping, jumping, etc. He had so much fun. We checked in around 1 and then went to the indoor water park. There were so many things for Boady's age ( I was a little nervous that he would be too small for most things) There was a kiddie area with jet skis that had water guns on them and little water slides and fountains and so much more. Then there was a big maze type thing that lead up to some tube slides and each level had water guns and squirters. There was a tipping bucket on top of the maze that would fill with water and then dump out, Boady liked the maze and slides but wasn't much on getting pounded with water from the bucket. We also did the lazy river and wave pool. Boady's favorites were the slides and jet skis in the kiddie area and the HOT TUB! He ate really well while we were there, we even splurged a little bit and the day we got there he had chocolate cupcakes for lunch, haha. He had me and Zach all to himself! (my parents kept Briar for us, I think she was a little too young to really enjoy it) There was an arcade that Boady loved too, playing all the different games and riding on the motorcycles. There was also a Cub club that did crafts everyday and Boady painted a blue, black, green and orange piggy bank. It was beautiful! We will definitely have to take both of the kiddos back. Any kid 2+ would love it, and their parents too!

Well, yesterday was a very sad day. My little poodle, Gizmeaux that I got back in the 3rd grade died. I knew she wasn't doing good so I went to Mom and Dad's to see her and just hold her for awhile. She was so weak, almost 16 years old. (Deaf, blind and crazy. We lovingly referred to her as the Old Lady of the house.) My Mom held her as she passed. I was so glad she was with her when she went so she wouldn't be scared and alone. She gave us all a lot of joy and company. Sweet old dog! She will be missed!

Fossil Rim

Sunday my parents and I took the kids to Fossil Rim in Glen Rose. They had a blast. Briar hung out in the backseat with Nana just rolling around all over the place. Boady sat with Grandad and Mommy up front most of the time with the occasional trip to the backseat to see what sissy was up to. It was such a beautiful day!

ID

Well, someone decided to steal my debit card information and buy almost $400 in tires from a company in Louisiana. Thank goodness for the delivery man who got suspicious when he was to deliver the tires to a vacant address in Ft. Worth. He decided to call the manufacture and they called and informed me of the fraud. I think we have got everything all straightened out including filing a report with the police in hopes that they catch the morons! The bank said it sounds like someone that I gave my card to at a restaurant copied my card number and name, address and phone number and then returned the card to me. SOOOOOO..... be careful who you give your card to. Better yet, just use cash.

Getting started....

Ok, so I have never done a blog before. Please bare with my grammar errors by the way.
Well, to get things started Boady rode his first sheep on Saturday night! It was probably the greatest thing I have ever seen in my life, except the part where he fell off. He was so excited, his older cousin, Kasen was there and was riding too. Boady was a real cowboy, he got his protective vest on and his over sized baseball helmet (that probably did more harm than good, he has a bruise on his forehead). They let the sheep come through the chute...... and I about peed my pants! It was HUGE with big curly horns. Even the guys putting the kids on the muttons said "Whoa! This is a big one." And then they picked up my Boady and sat him on the sheep's back. Boady grabbed on like he had done this a million times. (Course I had tried to "be the sheep" a few times and let Boady ride on my back for practice.) They opened the gate and they took off! It started out great and then Boady started leaning to the right and the next thing you know, he's plowing the arena with his face guard. He just laid there and didn't move for a few seconds, seemed like forever to me. I ran out there picked him up, dusted him off. And let me tell you, he was NOT a happy camper. Grandad was the ONLY one he wanted. And he got him, and some bubble gum, hot tamales, and suckers (those are the things that he requested he get after he rode his sheep.) He wasn't upset for too long after he located his Grandad and snacks. He did say that he wasn't going to ride another sheep till he gets bigger. So we will try again next year and see if he's up for it. If not, we got some great pictures and some good movies that he will enjoy forever.
Briar isn't up to too much interesting stuff these days, just he usual motor mouth and investigating her first spring as a WALKER/RUNNER. Last year she was still just a little rolly polly, not too interested in much except eating and sleeping. She's all over the place now and LOVES dirt. She has even tried to eat some, don't think she will do that again.
Zach has just been working working working. The oilfield in this area is really slowing down. Please keep us in your prayers since we don't know how much longer he will actually have a job.
When he's not working he's on the lake catching bluecats. He caught a ton yesterday including two 30+ lbs. cats. So we will be having another fish fry this summer, be prepared!
I'm just getting back into riding again and taking care of my kiddos! And enjoying this BEAUTIFUL weather!
